Virus Research and Biotechnology Research Center, then Scientific and Manufacturing Company "RESEARCH CENTER" was founded more than 25 years ago on the basis of "Vector", the world's most significant virus research and biotechnology scientific center, which contains a collection of all viruses, bacteria, and microbes known to science, and where unique scientific and applied research is conducted in various fields of microbiology. Vektor was founded by decree of the USSR Ministry of Culture and the State Supervision of the Microbiological Industry.

One of its important areas of activity was the development of universal preparations to protect the population and those performing active military service in the event of the use of unknown bacteriological weapons, bacteriological warfare, and other biogenic disasters. Scientists succeeded in developing a preparation whose active source was Bacillus subtilis VKPM B-7092 and other bacteria. For more than 30 years, our leading scientists have been successfully improving the properties of the strains that form the mechanism of action of our preparations.

Currently, the products of the Scientific Center are new-generation probiotics with unique properties. Well-trained researchers, laboratory and technical staff, and specialists work on development and the use of biological technology, which serves not only humans but also the ecological protection of agricultural plants, soil rehabilitation, and animal health. The company has an accredited microbiological laboratory and more than 60 patents, including international ones.
