Bioseptin - Probiotic wound treatment ointment for animals

Active substance and mechanism of action

The ointment contains two special industrial strains of bacteria (VKPM B-10642 and B-10643), which act by penetrating the wound:

• Wound cleaning (Lysis): They produce proteolytic enzymes that dissolve (lyse) dead, necrotic tissue, cleaning out the wound.
• Biofilm training: The bacteria create a thin biofilm that prevents external pathogens from entering the wound cavity (so no dressing is needed).
• Antiseptic effect: They inhibit the growth of pus-causing and other pathogenic bacteria.
• Reducing inflammation: They speed up regeneration and soothe the damaged area.

Areas of application

The product can be used for all species of animals (pets, farm animals, wild animals, birds):

• Treatment of cut and abraded wounds.
• For healing burn injuries.
• For skin inflammations (dermatitis) and other skin lesions.
• For the care of non-healing, ulcerative wounds.

Instructions for use

For external use only!

• Dosage: Apply a thin layer to the damaged surface 1-2 times a day.
• Duration: Treatment should be continued until full recovery.
• Binding: Wounds treated with Bioseptin no bandaging required, as the biofilm that forms protects the area.

Security and storage

• It is safe: Can also be used in pregnant and lactating animals. No side effects are known.
• Contraindications: Do not use at the same time as ointments containing antibiotics or sulphonamides.
• Storage: Refrigerate unopened (0-10 °C). After opening, stored at room temperature, it can be used for 15 days!
